The MEDIAWAVE Festival invited MOFFOM (Music on Film - Film on Music) film festival to present a selection of their VH1 Rock Docs section. The festival audience will have a great opportunity to watch the film about James Brown and about one of the loudest rock bands of the world, 'The Who' .
As a revolutionary idea - and hopefully a new tradition to follow - the 19. MEDIAWAVE Festival is accompanied by a fine-art exhibition. This years major topics are the Sexual Revolution of ’69 and the Global Warming.

Since much more films have been submitted until November, 2008 (one and half month before the deadline) into the film competition programme of MEDIAWAVE Film and Music Festival’2009, than ever before, the preselection committee began their work at the weekend 22-23 November. As a result of it six films have been selected into the competition programme.
The MEDIAWAVE Foundation is now ready to accept applications if volunteers for participating in preparing and arranging MEDIAWAVE 2009. Young people, interested in getting familiar with organizing a music and film festival, and interested in film, photo and/or music are expected to apply.

In the framework of MEDIAWAVE’2009, environmental NGOs are announcing a call for entry of those stationary and moblie, audiovisual or visual creations dealing with the environmental and social effects of climate change.
The award winner photos were selected out of 1081 applications by the jury of "Black Africa in the 21th century" photo competition. The photo of Tamás Talabér, a photographer from Pannonhalma, was awarded as well. He took the photo of Jeanne Carrol, an African singer, in MEDIAWAVE'2006, Ravazd. The competition, under the patronage of András Kepes, aimed to show Africa's real face and to draw attention to the living circumstances in the continent. The opening exhibition of the photos took place on 6 September in Gödör Club, Budapest.
" On 30 May the exhibition of the photos made during Passport Control 5 International Photo Workshop in VOKE Arany János Community Centre. The workshop - which was realized within the framework of Mediawave Festival - had participants from Hungary, Italy, Iran, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia. You can see their photos until 30 June. "

Furthermore you can apply for MEDIAWAVE Summer Art Camp (PASSPORT 7), where there are going to be film, photo, architectural and music workshops. In the latter one blues and gnawa will get special emphasis, which will be taught by original Maroquean drummers....

On the 4th of May, 2013, avoiding the protocol-centered award ceremony clichés of big film festivals, the organisers attempted to find a more human-centered and personal form of giving the awards and closing the 23rd Gathering in the Fort Monostor.
