In this programme you can get to know the legendary rock band, TM Stevens and his Shocka Zooloo Band. They had a memorable concert at the MEDIAWAVE'2009 Festival.

You can watch a selection from the concerts, workshops and moods of the MEDIAWAVE'2009 Festival and some films made in the Passport Control Workshop.

Dozens of professional and amateur guitarrists played Jimi's emblematic song Hey Joe at the Megyeháza Sqare in Győr at the  May. The Thanks Jimi Festival which followed the Wroczlaw pattern filled both the musicians lead by TM Stevens and the audience with enthusiasm.

The Grand Prix of the ANOTHER CONNECTION - MEDIAWAVE'2009 Festival went for Boris Mitic's Goodbye, How Are You? and Veit Helmer received the Prize for the Best Feature Film for Absurdistan.

Last day of MEDIAWAVE, we officially close the festival. This day you can watch competition and Szomjas films and we also recommend a selection from the famous Hungarian Balázs Béla Studio. At night, the Finnish accordion player, Johanna Juhola plays together with Timo Alakotila and you can listen to a Romanian folk music bigband, Minisatul SF Andrei - Nunta.

Thanks Jimi Festival	Premier screening: California Dreamin' (ROM)	TM Stevens and the Shocka Zooloo Band (USA)

Let's celebrate May 1 together at the Thanks Jimi Festival! Beside the various rock and blues concerts a real rock legend, TM Stevens and the Shocka Zooloo Band will have a show at night. The competition films have been still running and Christian Nemescu's feature, California Dreamin', will have the premier screening in the afternoon.

You can find some real stars among today's performers! The Synagogue will give place for Jamaladeeen Tacuma's Coltrane Configurations and Lee Conitz, the 82-years-old jazz legend.

The films of the competition and the Romanian program will have been screened steadfastly and you can see some theatres as well.

With his exhibition, the Polish photographer reflects on jazz, one of the most important elements of the music aspect of MEDIAWAVE.

NEW! IMPROVISATION IN ART - WORKSHOP 29. April -  lead by jazz musician Viktor Toth and Rita Bata contemporary dancer. For all artists interested.

Last year the British Love Grocer band built around the legendary Zion Train wind section had a concert for the first time in Győr. It was when the idea of the MEDIAWAVE Raggea Workshop came up to the organisers who managed to persuade a band of young musicians from Győr to join the workshop.
