A teenage boy and a girl meet in the bathroom of a nightclub. High on drugs, they wander around aimlessly through the streets of Sarajevo and talk about random things. They end up in an apartment and fool around until, at some point, this carefree atmosphere is interrupted by someone else’s presence.

Katarina STANKOVIC & Konstantina KOTZAMANI

Konstantina Kotzamani is an undergraduate student at The School of Film Studies Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her short films have been screened in international festivals and won several awards. Her short film “Arundel” has been financed by the Greek National and participated in Euro Connection Program for script development at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival. In 2012 she was a participant in Berlinale and Sarajevo Talents. Her short film “Morning Prayers” co-directed with Katarina Stanković, financed by Sarajevo City of Film, had its world premiere in the competition section of Guanajuato International Film Festival 2014 in Mexico. Her last short “Washingtonia” premiered in Berlinale Shorts Competition, was awarded by the Greek Film Academy as the best Short Film 2014, the Grand Prix at the Tetuan International Film Festival in Morocco, won the European Film Award EFA in Gent International Film Festival and is thus nominated for the Best European Short Film 2014.

Katarina Stanković is a Meisterschüler at Filmuniversität Babelsberg “Konrad Wolf” in Berlin. She received her BFA in 2005 in audiovisual studies from the San Francisco Art Institute and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. From 2007-2011 she was DAAD Scholarship holder for postgraduate film studies at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, and holds a Certificate from The L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation. Her short films have been screened in international festivals and won several awards. In 2012 and 2013 she participated in Sarajevo and Berlinale Talent Campus. Her short film “Morning Prayers” co-directed with Konstantina Kotzamani, financed by Sarajevo City of Film program, had its world premiere in the competition section of Guanajuato International Film Festival 2014 in Mexico. She’s currently making a short film, which was developed through the Berlinale Talent Campus - Short Film Station and won the project pitch at Kino der Kunst Film Festival in Munich. She is also developing her first feature with the support of Cinéfondation Résidence, Torino Film Lab Script&Pitch and Hubert Bals Fund.
