Accidentally, Alyona finds herself alone in her lover's country-house on Christmas Eve. All she can see from the window is a snow-covered desert, and a cat is the only living creature who is near. The heating is turned off, her mobile phone battery is low. Alyona tries to get out of the country-house, but the more external circumstances she overcomes the deeper she sinks into her inner hell. At the end of the day her desire to escape suddenly evolves into desire to die.

Gleb ROSS
He was born (1988) and raised in the city of Novosibirsk. At the age of eighteen he moved to Moscow, where he worked on set as a playback operator, and as an editor for various television and cinema productions. He graduated from the directing department at the National Research University – Higher School of Economics (studying under Vladimir Fenchenko). His graduation short film Cold has been recognized with a number of prizes at film festivals.

Two Greek filmmakers will come to this year's Passport Controll - Summer Art Workshops and Community Gathering, to lead film workshop for students. Film director Karina Logothetis and sound designer Vasilis Zlatanos won the award for the Most Original Short Film at the 33rd edition of the Mediawave Film Festival this year, with their short fiction Pebble.
