Maya has no one except her mother Meera. When she decides to settle down, she takes her time to find a guy who’ll accept both of them as they are. Raunak fits the bill - though he still needs his parents to approve the match.
In a crucial meeting over lunch, one mistake on Meera's part makes it end on a disastrous note. Somehow Maya had seen it coming, it all had felt too good to be true. She ends up parting ways with Raunak. In a fit of anger, she also lashes at her mother, who further shrinks within herself with guilt.
Next evening, when Maya returns from office, she finds that her mother has gone missing. During the search for her mother, Maya questions why do we end up hurting the ones we love the most.
