Toward 25
It’s not easy to see, maybe better to hide, that MEDIAWAVE grew so old.
On one hand, I personally would avoid pathetic and nostalgic self-celebration.
On the other hand, I am eager to know what happened to people who participated at the previous festivals and added something to its mood.

I also wonder whether our 25 year-long activity has left its trace in film makers’, performers’ and collegues’ souls.

I hope we can find a unique and pleasurable form to rewind time. It would be lucky that the series of retrospetions would be a progressive catalyst of the 25th anniversary and the period after.

With my collegues, we are searching among the printed, written, photographed and recorded impressions of the last 25 year and have already found some forgotten personalities and spirit behind memories.

We are looking for people connected to memories and the forms helping to rediscover or introduce them. I prefer to present groups or individuals not as nostalgic storytellers but as performances coming from their present way of life. To make it simple: you can play music, sing songs, dance, exhibit, screen films, cook or anything you want to show about yourself. Our collegues and any other guests of us can just feel free to think about something similar.

We plan to publish a brochure and summarize our activities on the internet. We are waiting for your written memories as well as photos and videos.

To generate the process, we’ll keep publishing some exciting articles, photos and videos on facebook, in newsletters and on our website.
We’re looking forward to your reactions and documents.
